HISTORY
In 1994, three friends, who together have nearly one hundred years experience in the Canadian real estate field, obtained a Federal Government Charter for Torus Country Lands.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the company was to purchase large waterfront acreages for development and wholesale the resulting lots in phases directly or through experienced marketers worldwide. Torus purchases the land after receiving certified title, arranges surveys, obtains all necessary approvals for subdivision, constructs roads and installs power and telephone service to each lot. Building permits are available for each property.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
The first project at McNabs Cove, Nova Scotia contained 43 lots and was sold out in two years. Others followed at Loch Lomond, Nova Scotia, Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia and Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island - a total of over 60 lots, all of which have also been sold. We have also assisted Cameo Enterprises (owned by our wives) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island to do the same with a large block of oceanfront at Miminegash, Prince Edward Island. Over 65 percent of this project has been sold and they have decided to take the balance, the prime phase, off the market for now to let the market soar.
